window eyes troubles... any advice?

I am using the latest version of window eyes with a laptop running windows 7 home premium.
Having used window eyes in the past, I was actually looking forward to using it with windows 7, but was I ever in for a disappointment.
First of all, window eyes makes firefox crash all the time. When I type in edit boxes, firefox crashes, and windoweyes goes crazy.
Also, when I type the name of a program into the start menu search box and press enter, windoweyes will totally shut down at least 2 or 3 times out of 10. There is no error message, no error reporting option, just a total window eyes shutdown. When i turn window eyes on after this happens it seems to behave normally, but it just shuts down randomly. I am absolutely fed up with this shit!
Does anyone else have these issues, and if so have you been able to work through it?
thanks.
Zach

OOO that sounds scary.

Could it be that window eyes doesn't work with seven?

Sounds like a call to tech support is in order. When I've used tech support in the past I found them very knowledgeable and helpful.
Hope it's still that way.

i disagree with you fully. i'm not a full time window-eyes user yet but it's never crashed on me. i'm running win 7 and it works completely flawlessly.

To say any screen reader works flawlessly is sillly, but i've used it with windows 7 for about 18 months, and while haveing a few issues, nothing so major. I'd be tempted to suggest you check for graphics card driver updates and such in case it's some problem there, but GWMicro tech support is a great place to go for help. They're an awesome bunch of guys.

thanks, I guess i'll have to talk to them.
I wonder if it isn't a graphics card issue like rat said... That'd explain a lot

I think I also suggested that, in saying that you might check for driver updates for your graphics adapter.

Yeah. It could be a problem on your end. Plus Microsoft and even Mozilla update teir products so fast sometimes tat it canbe hard for GW Micro to keep pace. But I can say that on the very few occasions when I've needed to make a call to GW Tech Support they were both knowledgeable and friendly, which I could never, and I mean that literally, never, say about the folks at Greedom Science Fiction.
